  Asia-Pacific Cancer Leaders' Summit Top


Asia-Pacific Cancer Leaders' Summit hosted by UICC was held on 13–15 April 16 in Brisbane. The theme is “Future for Cancer Control in the Asia-Pacific: Data for change and mobilizing communities.” Dr. Winnie So, President of AONS, was invited to attend the summit. Issues for discussions included how to mobilizing communities for changes, noncommunicable diseases in Asia-Pacific, and future of cancer control in the Asia-Pacific.

  the 41St annual Ons Congress Top


The 41st Annual ONS Congress was held on 28–30 April 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, USA. On behalf of the AONS, Winnie So, the president, attended the Congress to participate in the international session on “Health Disparities and Cancer Navigation: Impact, Utility, and Implications Globally” moderated by Margaret Barton-Burke, the President of ONS. Stella Aguinaga Bialous (President of International Society of Nurses in Cancer care, ISNCC), Raymond Javan Chan (President of Cancer Nurses Society of Australia), Tracy Truant (President of Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology), and Winnie So (President of Asian Oncology Nursing Society) presented impact and implications of health disparities and the development of cancer navigation in their specific region. The session was well received by the audiences.
